Well, I am a 27 year old, does that count :-)
First of all, you have a great shape for today's fashions. You are taller than average, slim, and probably have broader shoulders and narrower hips based on your profile info. Most things will look great on you, lucky girl :-)
For your first date, you want to look good, but also be comfortable in the theater, which can tend to get chilly. Jeans might look too casual for your age; that tends to look best on teens and college age girls. A dress might be too much for the movies, and pants tend to look professional. You want a sophisticated look, a little sexy, but not over the top.
From the top down-
You want to draw the eye up with a great top. It will help keep him looking you in the eye, and not at some other part of your body. You need something to keep you warm, but long sleeves might be too hot if you go somewhere else before or after. You could try a layered look, or a 3/4 sleeve. Then things like a wrap top, empire waistline, wide belts, or fitted jackets can emphasis a narrow waist and add some more curve to your top half. If you haven't had implants yet, you can add the illusion of a bust with lots of detailing at the neckline, which can also make a waist look smaller, so it could be a good idea anyway.

Look for jackets that fall at your hips for added curve, and only one or two buttons at the waist. Fitted and sturctured jackets that will hold their shape would work best. Again, because you are slender you can do the different fabrics like velvet, suede, corduroy.

Then try an above the knee or knee length pencil skirt. They can emphasis curves, and give a very mature look to anyone. I would stay away from minis for now until you get a better idea of what kind of impression you want to make on him.

If you do opt for pants or jeans, they should be a lighter color to add more shape to your bottom half, darker colors will just make you look overly skinny. Try a mid rise (not low) in a straight or boot cut to add some shape and curves to your body. Tapereds just make you look heavy in the middle, and wide flares are too young.

Since you are so slim, you can also try different fabrics, like corduroy, to add some texture on your bottom half. It would help balance your narrow bottom with the wider top half.

I would go with a great dress boot, with any heel you like since you are slender. A chunky heel (like a platform or wedge) can add bulk to your legs, while a skinny heel (like a stiletto or kitten) can emphasis the smaller ankle. It depends on the look you want. Personally, I prefer a skinnier heel. You might want to think about keeping the heel 3" or under, unless your date is over 6'. You don't want to tower over him if you can help it; most guys get insecure about their girls being taller than they are, and you want to make the best impression possible on a first date, so that there is a chance of a second, third, etc...

Hope some of this helped, or gave you some ideas. Have fun on your date, and don't ever let anyone get you down!

Hi. I am much older, but I was a personal shopper, and I have friends of all ages, and they all say that I always pick the perfect thing for them.
You need to be fashionable, and just a tad flirty. Since you're only going to the movies, you don't need to show cleavage, but don't go wearing a turtleneck either (mock turtle with short sleeves is fine)! Being tall and slim, I would emphasize waist and legs. Wear a short skirt, but not slutty short, about 15 inches long. Wear on top a color that flatters your eyes. Purple usually is nice on anyone. Add accessories, a belt, a long thin scarf.... Accessories make it look like you're a woman who knows how to and enjoys to dress. And they are and should be playful. Your shoes should not be high if your date is not tall enough, but do wear feminine shoes. Guys have low tolerance or understanding for comfortable sneaker-like shoes, although cute Steve Maddens or Kenneth Cole or even Sketchers will do flats that are feminine or funky enough.
For your clothes, think of brands like Limited for very reasonable prices, or maxstudio and BCBGirls or Urban outfittters stores, for a little more money, for your age range. If you live where European brands exist, go for Diesel for a funky look, or Benetton/Sisley for urban, sexy but not slutty.

I think jeans are a classic look because they never go out of style. If it's chilly where you live, wear fitted jeans, a cute fitted sweater, and some cute flats or a small heel. I wouldn't overdo it since you're just going to the movies. If it's not cold, wear a cute top. You don't want to look like you're trying too hard. Have confidence! You only know what looks good on you! Have fun!

read your profile, guys seem to like jeans on girls, wear a fitted pair, but not too tight. ( i would avoid wearing a skirt, it may be uncomfortable for the movies, you'd have to sit with your legs crossed, and wouldn't be able to lean over an cuddle during scary parts.) for the top i would wear something that is nice to the touch, silk, velvet, satin, that way you are more likely to have some contact. also make sure you have a mani and pedi, you don't want rough skin.

I would wear some skinny jeans, a cute top and a waistbelt, with some pumps. When I go to the movies I want to look like the best girl there and make sure my date is pleased that he brought me. Try to look really sexy. Plus since your tall and thin this look will make you look like a model.

anything goes for the movies your in the dark, but wear pants and a light to medium weight shirt for comfort theres nothing worse then being uncomfortable in those annoying seats.

If it was a casual date like the movies, I would wear jeans.
