Well, unfortunately, you shouldn't be using Millennium at all.
It's the biggest failure in Microsoft history and is meant to be forgotten by everyone!
No wonder XP home and professional came so soon afterwards.
But, more to your question, no, there shouldn't be any restrictions in the way you access your internet. The cable that comes to the computer is the same: a connection RJ45 (or USB sometimes), therefore the system doesn't "need" to know what provides the internet. All it needs is the connection itself.
Of course there might be some alien problems that only happen to Windows Millennium and no one can explain but it depends more on your luck.. Hehehe...

False My Dad has Millennium and DSL 2 years running no issues. I do recommend upgrading to new Operating systems for other reasons.

Keep DSL, unless you are planning on download the encyclopedia brittanica there is no need to waste the money on broadband. Take the first month's worth of saved money and buy a real operating system like XP. Millenium is a piece of crap.

it's either. But to tell you the truth, you should get a different operating system. Millennium has a ton of problems and may possibly crash your computer.

true.. but only because dsl isnt very good, unless is "s"dsl instead of "a"dsl the asynchronis dsl causes problems with packets

FALSE.... there is no such thing as that. U can use any (dsl or cable) watever u like and is comfortable with.
