however sexual reproduction is a source of genetic variation it causes some lower eukaruites to resist sever conditions!protozoans usually do sexual reproduction to overcome environmental hard condition such as lack of nutrient and etc...

a good mix of genes comming from other species. This promotes change and addapation. Asexual is just a cell splitting into a duplicate of itself. Hence no change or adaptation
