There's no specific age that a woman's menstruation stops. It can be stopped at an early age 20-30's due to things such as fibroid cysts in the uterus. This can cause a partial hysterectomy (the uterus only is removed and the ovaries, unless they are affected by non production of estogen, are left) or a total hysterectomy (all of the above mentioned female parts are removed). Otherwise, Peri-Menoupause, the stage before Menoupause (when a woman's menstruation stops), can happen as early as 40 yrs. of age on. When Peri Menoupause hits, periods are irregular BY NATURE because a woman's body is trying to stop the menstruation process. The symptoms of Peri Menoupause (ie:hot flashes, irregular periods, etc.) can last as long as 7 yrs. before actual Menoupause occurs. Hormone pills are usually prescribed for a woman to take, particularly during Peri Menoupause, to help keep the estrogen level regulated.

Every woman has a specific number of ova (egg) in her ovaries. These start to release one (sometimes two or three) per menstrual cycle once sexual maturity is reached. If the ovum gets fertilized by a sperm, then she goes for pregnancy. Otherwise, the uterus which prepares itself for a pregnancy ruptures and that is what we have as periods. This process goes on until all the ova are exhausted. When no more ovum is left out, then menopause occurs. Normally menopause can occur around 40s and in some women even after 50. It all depends on how many eggs she has in her ovaries.

No specific age. It's different for everyone. Books usually say it's some where between 47 and 52. My aunt was 38. That's an exception.

Actually, sexual drive in women peaks, though it has more to do with attitude than anything. They "think" they can no longer get pregnant, so they fell more open about being sexual. Unfortunately, we are now finding that not to be true, as women are getting pregnant well into their 50s. What is of interest is that in the last 20 years, the male sex drive is decreasing for older men, so we are actually see a reversal from when I was young and older men wanted sex, but the older women didn't. It is also why we are seeing a lot more cases of Tadpoling, older women with much younger men, and boys.

It's different for every woman. Generally you can go by the age when your own mother stopped getting hers.
