I'm a sophomore in high school and went into a bathroom to look at my hair. Just then a teacher (one I had in freshman year) came in, scowled and told me never to go in that bathroom again. (She also told me to "cut the Ruby Tune act, whatever the ****.) Ugly *****. Anyway, a minute later, I began crying furiously. I always cry so easily. But it feels just as bad. Is it normal to cry like this??

by the way, apparently the bathroom I was in was a "faculty bathroom". whatever, there wasn't even a sign saying so. after making me leave, she pointed to a sign on the door that says "women" as she said "see here this is for women".

I can understand why you would cry. I would too if I were in your shoes. We always perceive teachers to be nurturing individuals who'd sweeten every word for his/her audience, but when we finally meet one nasty piece of work like the teacher you've mentioned about, we are shocked and our confidence in our teachers are shaken.

Next time, if you encounter a nasty person again, don't cry! That's the intention of hurting you...to watch you cry. These people probably are unhappy with their own lives and they are taking it out on others.

She sounds like an idiot to me; what does she think you are - a guy??? Anyway, it's her loss that she upset you; you will always think of her in light of the way she spoke to you, I suspect. As for crying "too easily" - I think we cry when we *need* to cry. As a person who couldn't cry for a long time, I think you're very lucky to be able to do so. Don't ever give ANYBODY else the satisfaction of determining what moods you show (or refrain from showing) to the world. You feel what you feel, and nobody has the right to tell you to feel something else. I know guidance counselors in schools aren't always the most popular people around, but perhaps you should talk to yours (unless the creepy teacher IS the guidance counselor).

well first off she sounds like a b*t*h and that was just offensive. dont blame yourself for crying about that it was cruel. Yes, for some people it is normal to cry easily. It just means your sensitive. Or easiy upset. I am not trying to make it sound like a bad thing because it isnt. I used to cry a lot too, it was only because a lot of things upset me. Sometimes its because a person is always too overwhellmed (sp?) and that they have too much comming at them at once.

I cant explain why or how but yes it is normal and who knows? Maybe you will grow out of it. Its normal so dont worry. Maybe you're just one of the more sensitive people. : )

It is absolutly normal to cry. Everyone has to cry to let their feeling out. Some more differently than others. The teacher had no right to yell at you, we are all accepted to make mistakes. Things happen and you just can't control the tears.
