It happened to me when I got a great new job and my bezzy mate found our how much more than him I was going to be earning...he turned very jealous and nasty...
I just dumped him and found someone new to play with...
I am sorry this is happening to you, I guess I am gifted with a few more sociopathic tendencies than you...

In our lives friends do come and go on a regular and sometimes too quick basis. We all will accumulate only 3 to 5 lifelong friends so we have to be ready for a lot of big changes. I had to give up on a very close friend years ago when he took up drugs. It still hurts at times as it had been a long term friendship and he was a really good guy. But, the drugs put him and me and a lot of others around him into danger. I walked away , gave him a year to clean up and he did not. So I did the final walk. A good, but very hard decision. So, my message is that things will pick up with a new friend quickly and this may be a lifelong or another passing one. Just go with the flow and enjoy life. We are here for you.

Well, first I want to give you a virtual hug if you'll accept it! *hug*
Well, anyway, my friend (Matt) has changed a bunch now that he has a new girlfriend and he's just different. I felt horrible for a few days after he said something, but things picked up. Stuff usually works out for me, but I don't know about you.
You can cope with it by making new friends, trying to make up with the friend, or just dealing with it in your own way. I've never had a really close friend (that never works), but it is tough to deal with it.
Crying helps, but so does looking forward to brighter days... don't let it get you down that much.
If it happened to me, I would just try to grow from it...
Oh, and chocolate helps too!
:-)

My best friend overdosed on Gimson Seeds a few years back & we did not talk for 2 years afterwards b/cuz she thought I wasn't the type of person she wanted to be friends with. I just gave her space (although I did cry a lot), & she eventually realized she missed me; when we started hanging out again, it was like nothing had ever happened.
Good luck to you!

Try honesty instead of avoidance. And I understand, I have lost a few good friends to drug habits. It hurts, but life goes on, just as it always does.

you need to move on. you need to stop mopping over the fact that your friends had to move on. now you need to move on, and find some new friends that fit you.
