In a previous job which involved a lot of customer contact on the 'phone, we used to play "Word of the Day". We chose a word at random from a dictionary, and scored points if you could use it in conversations with customers. Bonus points were scored for actually highjacking the conversation to a point where you could use it in context.

There used to be certain words when I was at school that did the rounds, became popular and then died. Wish I could remember some. "GRETCH" (something or someone horrible). My favourite of the moment is "COCKNOB", something the Aardmann animation fellows came up with the character ANGRY KID....

I use it whenever I can....

Hiya.
I do have a favourite word and it's 'miasma'. I know it means a swamp or a bog but I just love the sound of it!
