I don't think the Colts are extremely lucky.
Do the Colts have as good of a team as last year? I don't think they do.
Will the Colts go farther than last year? Yes, I think they will.
Why? Normally teams that blow out teams all year long like the Colts did last year don't win the Super Bowl. It's normally teams that win almost all of their games but barely win them all. That's what the Colts are doing this year. The defense is finally starting to step up and the Colts are slowly but surely starting to get their injured players back. Consider this, the Colts are 9-0 with the Colts having to use the back-ups for the back-ups in many of the positions. Can you imagine how good they will be when they get the starters back?
Also, the close games are partly due to the injuries and partly calculated. The Colts mentality is to keep it close and win it at the end or get ahead and make the other team force passes to keep up. So far it has worked and they are definitely showing that they know how to pull out the close games. You have to know how to pull out the close games in the playoffs because most of them aren't going to be blow-outs.
I think the Colts are probably one of the top contenders for the Super Bowl this year. I think they learned the lessen that the Steelers did the year before they won the Super Bowl. First, worry about making the playoffs, then getting home field advantage. Then the rest of the season doesn't nearly matter as much as how you play in the play-offs, so be prepared.

I think they can go all the way this year as long as they have a healthy Bob Sanders. He is to the defense what Peyton is to the offense.
I believe Dungy and Peyton learned from the way they played out at the end of the regular season last year and the whipping Pittsburgh put on them.
Indy will probably lose a couple of games this year but they will get better as the playoffs come into view. By that time Joseph Addai will be a more integral part of the offense and Booga McFarland will have more experience playing with his new teammates.

They either will go 1 or 2 losses in the regular season and then go to and win the Super Bowl or they will go undefeated in the regular season and then lose sometime in the playoffs or superbowl. The weight of both is too great to do both. Let's remember the 72 Dolphins had two less games to play that year and the league wasn't near as level is parity as it is now.

no the colts won't make it to the superbowl. Lots of teams can stop them maybe put in Chargers.....Eagles.....Bears.....maybe even the Bengals..........They win with close margins with teams that are not so good like the Bils and the Titans............Their defense is in the bottom how will they win a superbowl with just an offense.

NO way they run the table, should they hit 13 or 14 wins without a loss they will lock up home filed for the playoffs and rest starters the final couple weeks.

I don't think so. They barely won a few of their games against poor teams, like Buffalo and Tennessee. I like Peyton Manning, but I think he will choke in the playoffs like usual.

nope i'm sorry but i don't see it happening for to a few reasons one is because their defense is soft and can be scored on and two they can't run the ball to save their lifes and i the postseason a good running game is key to success hell if they couldn't win last year and the years they had edgerrin james then how the hell are they gonna win with domanick rhodes and joseph addai who are good players but nothing to brag about and plus it's peyton manning we are talking about he's one of the biggest choke artists when it comes to january
