Why would you possibly think that it is a crime to fall in love with someone who is 28? If he's under 18 then you've got a problem. My husband is 10 years younger than I am and we have a great time together. There is a very odd stigma attached to the older woman/younger man relationship that is not present in the older, geriatric man dating the young hot 20 year old. Enjoy yourself and embrace your generational differences - it can be quite entertaining!

I don't think it's a crime. At least not in the US. Not sure about the law elsewhere. But making a 10 year age difference between lovers a crime seem kind of stupid. Would it be a misdemeanor or a felony? Would there be increased penalties for every year over 10 years?

I believe it is only a crime if one of the interested parties happens to be under the legal age of consent or is under 18. I am a 37 year old female and my soon-to-be husband just turned 27. I think its great that younger men can find interest in older women!!! Besides you can't always help who you fall in love with. Count yourself blessed if you find love, no matter what age they are! (well, as long as they are of age...lol)

its not a crime ,many fall in love with men who are younger than them and they are happy together ,there might be only a problem in a long run that he could get tired of you after a while when you get older .
Anyway I love the lovers and I wish you both luck and happiness!

10 years is really not that big of an age difference is it? sometimes its not the number that matters but the level of maturity you both have and what kind of life goals you have in common. you should definately get to know him as best you can to make a sound decision on these things. if he is not mature enough or on the same level as you mentally then you could have problems in the future. if your lives are not on the same page, then even love wont be enough. i know this from experience. good luck.

If both parties are adults, then that pretty much settles the issue. If his love is genuine and not just an attraction for older women, then sit back and enjoy your life together.
* I wish you well.

Age should not matter. If you truly love someone, age is not even an issue. It is your love life and you two are with each other and no one else. Don't listen to other people, its how you feel. My mom and step dad are 14 years apart and they are happily married!
