I dance until I'm lying on the floor in a sweaty heap,or I write everything I'm feeling down. Better than screaming my head off at everyone!

First of all sit down in a quiet room, with a note pad and pen, write down the times when you feel stressed and where you are.
Some of these you may be able to avoid, others you won't for example work and family.
My first recommendation would be a massage, an aromatherapy one is best suited, as essential oils can be used that are specific for stress, Neroli is a really good one, unless you have to concentrate at all. after wards. Give it at least four weeks, but you should notice a difference after the first one, if the therapist is a good one.
Exercise is vital, as this will clear away alot of negative feelings, with the added benefit of being good for you. Swimming is a fantastic form of exercise as it uses all muscles.
You need to take time out everyday to wind down, this is sometimes hard when you have a family, best way to do it having a bath, again use essential oils in your bath, some candles instead of the electric lights.
If you can get some time on your own in the evening, play a calming cd, if there are others around, use personal head phones, and keep your eyes closed, that way you wont be disturbed.
All of these work well for me.

To reduce stress, you need to simplify your life. Stress is most usually work related. Do you like your job? Or are you just in it for the money? Could you live on less money? Simplify your life by cutting down on your needs, finding a stress free job and giving yourself alot of time to yourself. Spend more time with Friends and family. Avoid bad and negative news, think of ten ways each morning to be happy. Focus always on the positive and not the negative. Watch more comedy, read love stories, sing, dance, have more fun. You have one life, enjoy it to the full and take your time. .....Good luck, Simon

I gave up smoking last week & have 3 young children so am very stressed lately, I'm not the most tolerant of people on the best of days!!!! I couldn't get my car key in the door lock yesterday to go to my quitters club & I got a bit stressed thinking of cost & hassle so walked instead & the stress was gone. When I'm indoors I wash up, or clean anything in sight. Do a puzzle in a magazine, count backwards from 10 anything that takes my mind off it!

People can work for some time under Pressure but not under Stress - try
Seek medical advice
Talk about it - friends and family
Relax - read a book or go for a walk or a wee run
Explain to bosses - if you work - how you feel and why you feel stressed
Stop drinking alcohol and smoke less - if you do either
Sleep helps a lot

The two main techniques are exercicse and avoidance [avoid what's not pleasent.]. Exercise takes about a year to fully work but after two you will not be the same person. With avoidance simply don't watch the news or do anything that's not nice.
Avoid drink like the plague. Drink is *only* for fun. Only. I fell into that trap and it's horrible.

I get on my Harley and go for a long ride to anywhere, or pick up my guitar and play, or I sit alone somewhere quiet and just think about being on a Caribbean island and I can hear the waves on the beach and feel the sun on my back (I have been to the Caribbean many, many times, so it's a little easier for me to invision it).

Well first of all what are you thinking?God has pointed out in his Word that we should think on lovely things.PHILIPPIANS 2 4:8
States what we should dwell on in order to have inner peace,We cannot change people, places and things, but we do have the power to change what we choose to dwell on.As the saying goes
"I think, therefore I am." You are aware that it is the thought that counts, right? If you dwell on sad things...You will be sad,If you dwell on angry thoughts...You will be angry.Think about going to prison without the possibility of parole. Now think about winning the lottery.See what a difference a thought makes?Take Care and May God Bless You.
