Uh, call them and express your interest. Maybe they're waiting for you to make the next move.
I do however agree that you can't wait forever.
Call them and give them a fair chance to reply. If not then move on.
You aren't getting any wealthier waiting on them to call you. Seek the opportunity.

So, they told you, "Welcolm aboard." You have the job!
It sometimes takes a while to get drug tests back. But if they come back negative, then you do not have the job. Why don't you give them a call to see if you're still on? Tell them you're just anxious to get to work and want to stop looking. But, at the same time keep searching for another job. You should know if you will pass THE TEST.

Now, if you do take drugs, you need to stop. Because most jobs require this drug test. I hope this will not be your draw-back for landing a wonderful job. Pass all the intelligence tests, credit checks, background checks, and fail the drug test? I don't think so. Get this straight now. You have to be on the up-and-up to be employed in America. So get busy getting yourself in that position.

Call them back, verify the date you took the test and ask what your next step is. Consider that drug test just one step in the process. You may still be able to fill out paperwork, review training materials, etc..

Drug tests can take up to 2 weeks, and HR depts get busy. Don't sit back and wait, call them today and make time to get started on the job.....

Did you eat any poppie seed bagles within 24-48 hours of the drug test? If so, it could register a false positive.

I'd contact them again saying you're excited about the job, and wanted to check the status of you application (or start-date, etc).

Did they tell you how long it would take to get the results back?

Just call them and ask if they got the results back yet.

You haven't exactly been "waiting around". It's only been two and a half days (weekends don't count).
