Why not? Isreal is a small country and friendly with America, which tends to behave itself in the wider international community (not including disagreements with Palestine) whereas Iran is a fairly large place which could potentially field a strong army. It is also the dominant power in the region at the moment. This worries America, so George W is pressuring the UN into playing the world police card.

Iran has proclaimed that it wishes to destroy Israel. Nuclear weapons would give them the opportunity to do so, heaven forfend.

If Israel does indeed have a nuclear capability, it will use it only as a last resort, after a first strike by some other power.

Iran is the biggest threat to the West today, and their military capability must be curbed by the West.

I am against any nuclear use at all but I feel safer with Israel having the power not Iran, Israel would not use it unless it was the last resort, who in their right mind would trust Iran they have no value for their own lives let alone anyone else on this earth, they are waiting for their next life.

If you mean is it fair for Israel to possess nuclear weapons and Iran not too of course it's not fair but who said life was fair?Israel is armed and supported by the U.S.A. to be their resident 'policeman' in the Middle East. Why do you think America uses their veto to prevent every serious criticism of Israel in the U.N. ?. Having said that I don't think the present leadership in Iran inspires any confidence for their possession of nuclear weapons. However having limitless supplies of money may well help them to achieve their object and no doubt North Korea will assist.

Yes,if Iran had one they would probably drop it on Israel.on the other hand Israel could have dropped it on a number of unfriendly neighbours ,but they havnt, and thats because they know the outcome, and show restraint,
I dont believe Iran with the current mad muslim in charge,
Would give a dam for the consequences.

if u look at the complex situation of middle east Iran has been in the for-front for the training terrorists, Israel has been on the receiving end of attacks for years, as i don't agree with nuclear power u have to ask yourself how can they defend themselves, in this ever dangerous game, the rights and wrongs of all what has happened is part of a web of blame religion and politics. we have to be aware that we in the UK are under an eminence threat of civil unrest, its how are we going to defend ourselves that really matters, we cant hide from whats happening in the world we are targeted by fanatics, our government is powerless at this time its the whole ball game u need to look at.

Yes it's fair. Iran wants nuclear weapons not nuclear power. They want to wipe out Israel. To let that happen would be a very grave mistake indeed.

Yes, Israel is not a world threat and Iran is. The leader in Iran said he would wipe Israel off the map.

absolutely, israel is a civilized industrial country, Iran is led by and full of religious crackpots who are more than willing to use the nuke against the "white devils".

They lack the ability to reason.

Also the fact that thier country sits on a major faultline is another reason.
