Not so much tarnished, he is a good coach, he just doesn't have the caliber of players this time that he did the first time. I think this team is an embarrassment to a good coach. I do not like the Redskins (Cowboys fan, here), but I do respect Joe Gibbs. He is a class act.

No...he hasn't tarnished his legacy. When someone is a proven winner they can only enhance that legacy; but not tarnish it. Look at Michael Jordan playing with the Washington Wizards. He didn't tarnish his legacy in any way. If Gibbs continues to lose people will say: "Gibbs is just playing around. He isn't serious one way or the other." He cannot tarnish is reputation as a coach.

Nope. Once a Hall of Famer always a Hall of Famer.

He'll always be a hero in the eyes of Redskin fans like me!!

Though 20 years from now when I think back to his time with the Redskins, the only thoughts I'll have will be of the first 'tour of duty'.

Not really, he is doing the best that he can for his team. Besides, he's in the HOF. There is nothing higher than that.
