Seriously, it is so ugly. It is not the 1950's anymore, farmers! If I was generous enough to spend the money, I would buy all farmers a new wardrobe for them to wear.

Don't wall street bankers wear suspenders too?

I have a set of silk suspenders that I wear with my black suit.

I work the Department of Agriculture and I can most assure you that not all farmers wear suspenders, most are quite well-dressed except when they are working out in the field to feed you and your family and you are being quite rude and ignorant to stigmatize all farmers. And if you don't like the look of suspenders, then stop looking / staring at the farmers in your area and get a life.

If farmers are required to meet proper fashion, will new moms have to as well? I stopped wearing necklaces and earrings because the baby would pull at them while touching me. Because I was tired at silly times, I also quit wearing makeup. Then I got into those lounge pants, since child-rearing is so demanding and got me messy frequently . . .
I bet you're finding Fashion Crimes all over the place. I always wondered who the Fashion Police were, thanks for speaking up.

I don't think fashion is a concern for farmers. They are too busy working the fields to try to make a living and care for their families. They have the right idea....fashion doesn't make the person or put food on their table.

Where do you live that you see so many farmers. I live in the city and most of the execs downtown and in the offices wear suspenders. If the farmers in your area all wear them maybe it is the style and you should wear them also.

The reason why they wear suspendres is because they are more cheaper to work in and that's all they know and i'm pretty sure that if they where to go out and be interviewd for a job they wouldn't have them on and besides maybe that's what they feel good in there clothes

Suspenders? I thought they all wore bib overalls. You have to understand that these people are working in the field attempting to make a living in their chosen profession. They work in an environment that is not particularly clean and should be forgiven if they choose comfort over fashion.

These are work clothes that provide protection from soiling for the clothes they are wearing..also to privide warmth..Now after you buy that wardrobe are you going to wash/dry and iron their clothes? If you knew anything about farming you would understand the need for work clothes of this nature and style..might want to check logic before posting a question that makes you look uninformed..Good Luck

Who else besides you cares if they wear suspenders? The cows and chickens? Please, what you wear when you do "grunge" work is not important. A lot of people clean up really well. Maybe you should try to look beyond the suspenders, you might find some real treasures.

Fat lot of good a fashion sense is gonna do them driving a tractor, or milking cows with their pants falling down.
