I havn't been bra shopping in a while and my bra size has definitly increased, lol. So I have about 4 different bras that still fit, the problem is that they are all different sizes, one is a 32C another is a 32D (that one feels more comfortable, but i think it's just the fabric) and another is 38B. They all fit great so I'm confused? When I go bra shopping, what size do I get? Or do you suggest I just go get measured at victoria secret again, lol.

Hiya!
I was measured just a few days ago. I had been wearing a variety of sizes like you, but it's not healthy and even though it might feel alright, a bra that fits perfectly will feel like a second skin.
I thought I was a 34C but I am a 32D and my bra is so comfortable now I could wear it to bed. The support is amazing, and its much healthier to get checked younger. The sales assistant in a reputable boutique informed me that many women wear the wrong sizes and it can lead to back problems, even sagging later on.
Go and get measured, it's not embarrassing, just a tape measure around where the bottom of your bra sits- and they will know what looks great too!

Always get measured on each bra shopping trip. Something as little as a 5lb weight change can affect your bra size.
I wouldn't get measured at Victoria's Secret. I love that store, but too many of the girls that work there are high school and college age, so they don't always know what they are doing, and they end up measuring the wrong places for the size (this has happened to me more than once there.) Go to somewhere else, try a department store like JC Penney, to get measured, then go to VS to buy your bras.
Most likely, the reason all of those bras fit is because the smaller ones have stretched out so far that they are no longer the same size as when you bought them. So your 32 band size is now a 34 or 36, but the bra itself has lost it's elasticity so bad that it fits anyway.

You should def go and get measured properly as it just sounds like you are probably squeezing into bras that don't actually fit properly.

The difference between a 32 and a 38 is immense, as this number relates to your rib cage just under your boobs. The cup size can be harder to say accurately as different styles can come up smaller or larger. For example I am a 34DD but could also wear a 36D as these kindof cancel each other out (more round the ribs less in the cup) - can all get a bit complicated so go get measured!!

It is important to wear the right size. Best option is to get properly measured.

As a guide for yourself grap a tape measure and measure under your breasts were your strap goes. That will give you the number (32, 34, 36 or whatever) then just find the cup size that gives you the best support.

It is quite usual to have 2 sizes that can fit well,, for example I can wear a 34C or a 32D and I try both these sizes before buying. The difference in the smaller back size is made up in the cup area.

Good like shopping!

the number on the bra size ie 32 34 36 is the measurements around your back just under your bust. A B C D DD is your cup size the size of you bust. I'm not really sure but i think the difference between both measurements determines your cup size. La Senza is a well named underwear shop, they will measure you free of charge. they are very good. i thought i was 34c but once measured properly I'm 34dd. they have some lovely bra's.

Whatever the measurement around the fullest part of your bust, your band size and cup size, should add up to this number.

So you have three completely different sizes which all add up to different bust measurements. You have a 32C, which should fit a 35 inch bust. You have a 32D, which would fit a 36 inch bust and a 38B which would fit a 40 inch bust!

I always find the band size tends to be closest to your upper ribcage measurement. This is the meausurement of the circumference of the area above the breasts and under the armpits. If it is an odd number, round it up or down to the nearest even number.

Then find the difference between this number (band size) and your bust measurement (around the fullest part of the breasts).

0 inch difference = AA cup
1 inch difference = A cup
2 inch difference = B cup
3 inch difference = C cup
4 inch difference = D cup
5 inch difference = DD cup

For example, if your upper ribcage measurement is 34 inches and your bust measurement is 38 inches, then you would be a 34D.

Bras can often stretch and grow with you! I have the same thing- I still have loads of old B cups that fit, although I can't buy any new ones that size, even the exact same bras in the same brand, I have to get C's now!

It's time to get measured again!

Probably best to get measured again, although I find that the sizes vary between shops and even with various different styles. If I have time, I try them on before buying. Marks and Spencer seem to fit the best for me.

I recommend that you go to a John Lewis store and be measured and fitted - there is more to a good bra fit than just telling you your measurements. Makes and styles will vary and the fitter is experienced in body shape and will recommend styles for you, as they know the stock very well.
