In theory everything is. It is good enough until you hit jury duty. Then you wonder.

No. The most efficient system was probably devised by Fidel Castro in 1959. Charge by anyone known to be friendly to the revolution. Arrest. Trial on hearsay evidence before a revolutionary committee. No appeal. Shot next day. Things calmed down after a year or so.
Western democratic systems are designed to be inefficient, in order to protect everyone's rights.

It is the best possible... no. Frankly, people are flawed, and any system based around people (judges, juries, lawyers, police, witnesses) is going to also be flawed. Unless something arises which can remove the human element (like a magical time machine that allows us to actually see what happened for sure), it is likely the best we can have.

It was as set forth by the constitution but our legislators and judges violate thier oaths to uphold it to victemize our citizens for government financial gain .The founding fathers wrote and warned of oppression on the people by government .Examples are ,robbing people of thier money and property when charged with a crime leaving them legally defenseless in court and have to use a gov appointed public defender. A judge violates his oath by not telling a jury they are supposed to judge the law and the fairness of the punishment ,as much as the innocent and guilt of the defendant .Now police in many states can by law lie and present false documents to the court ,with immunity from prosecution if caught . Robbing people of thier money freedom property and families and putting them in prison for years for nonviolent dtrug offenses where there is no victem is one level above Hitlers nazis .Locking people up for terrorism indefinetly with no charges is a slap in ther face to our founding fathers and freedom (just to name a few of many laws). Governments have been able to justify victemizing people to any extent for profit since time has started (indians ,jews ) . The constitution states if there is no victim there is no crime . People had better open thier eyes to the real war in our country (government on the citizens) if they have any love for thier children. 2 percent of the people now have 98 percent of the money in america .

I shudder at how archaic our legal system is.. It is pathetic and it scares me horribly... Our judges are disgusting and all in the hands of the terrorists and the Judges will always lean in favor of terrorists. I wish there was a way to get rid of them all and re-do t he legal system to favor the rights of the people
