Charles Manson is still alive, and he's still in prison. He was sentenced to death in 1971.
However, in 1973, the United States Supreme Court commutted the sentences of all death row prisoners in America to life in prison, because the death penalty statutes in every state were unconstitutional.
In 1977, the Supreme Court began allowing executions again, but only for people who were sentenced under the new death penalty laws passed after 1973 - anybody with a pre 1973 death sentence got to stay alive.
That's why Charles Manson was not executed.
He now has a life sentence, and he goes before the parole board every 2 years to apply for release. The California Parole Board will NEVER release Manson, because of the heinousness of his crimes, and because he always acts really weird and crazy at his parole hearings (the swastika he had tattoed on his forehead about 10 years ago doesn't help matters either!!!)
Charles Manson is 72 years old.

I hope that Charles Manson did not just adopt Christianity but actually accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Everyone should (and does) have the right to meet their creator as faithful servants worthy of reward. I have never met Charles Manson but his behavior from interviews and his conviction concern me greatly. If he did appear in heaven, then I would never be concerned because Christianity does not allow for mistakes with the disposition of souls after death.

He just celebrated his 72nd birthday on Sunday. Yes, he's still alive (we'd all hear about it if he wasn't!) and he is still in prison and will never likely get out....except by hearse!

1-Still alive, still in prison, always will be (no parole board is ever going to let his butt out--trust me)
2-He's still spouting the same whacked-out nonsense he always has.
3-He turned 72 this year.

last time I heard he was still alive, he keeps being turned down for parole (figure that LOL), and he should be close to or around 70 now.
