I think the US generals disliked him a lot. He ignored everything that was reported about Iraq, and politically didn't act properly. He was an arrogant leader. Many liberals and democrats have called for his resignation. There is a lot of controversy surrounding the man. After all, he did supply Saddam with all those weird weapons.

Neocons have all been pushed out so George's father can take over running the country through his proxies. It is evident that Bush the Younger is a total incompetent idiot who,( probably was informed by his mother that Daddy was now in charge,) has to be marginalized before he does anymore serious damage to the country. Cheney will now be on "vacation" for the next two years.

He is one of those who sits around in a comfortable home, while those in the midst of the war told him repeatedly that they needed more troops and Rummy turned around and never delivered the report to the Prez because he was undermining those in the forefront of the war, those whose lives were imperiled by the terrible decisions and second-guessing of the idiots in the White House... meanwhile, their cronies are making billions of dollars from the war efforts by profiteering on armaments, ammunition and supplies, food and other goods delivered to our troops... and the Prez, the Veep and Rummy are all fully aware of this but turn a blind eye since their cronies are the ones making the huge fortunes and the American troops are dying and the American public getting shortchanged!
Rummy, Prick Cheney and Dubya should all be brought up on criminal charges! Rummy, Cheney and Dubya are a disgrace to this country and a disgrace to those that have died while their cronies amassed greater fortunes!
How many military funerals have Rummy, Cheney and Dubya attended? It means that this idiot in the White House is too stupid to realize how wrong he's been and too hard-headed to admit when he's wrong! He MUST be dillusional!
I don't think he lied to the Prez as much as I believe the Prez did as he wanted to do all along. Rummy was just a stooge for the idiot, Dubya. What a bunch of stooges we have in the White House... no wonder the world is laughing at America! Meanwhile, Americans are dying and the super rich and powerful continue to amass fortunes while profiteering... and no one is willing to investigate this... that's the shame of it.

Panic. Bush now sees the people of America are a bit tired of his little war and he has tried to tell us he got the message. However, it's too late and a dollar short. In September, it might have meant something and his party wouldn't have been trashed so bad.
Do the Republicans ever think or do they just have shredded newspaper up there where most people have brains?

Ramsfield? Not sure who that is.
All I know is it pissed me off Bush didn't have the balls to keep him. Rummy was doing an excellent job. He had the balls to make the hard decisions. Mistakes? Even he admits them. Doesn't mean he was an idiot by any means. Anyone who thinks they could have done a better job...ah nevermind. Good Job Sec. Rumsfield.

As always with Bush its a political play
This is the last card that Bush/Rove had in their deck after the elections. Now Bush has hit the ball into the Dems court and put the pressure on them to respond in a positive fashion. Its kinda like hes saying "look see I listened to the American people, they wanted Rumsfeld out I got him out, Im tryin to work with the Dems."

When a war fails, people at that top get blamed. The Iraq war was Rumsfeld's plan. Too bad there was no plan for the peace.
So many people called for him to leave, including Generals, and the military newspapers. The pressure was on him to leave, and he did.
With new leadership, there will be a new direction.

The guy tried but failed....we have to admit he had a tough job,
If the whitehouse would have had a plan, instead of pushing through everyone, the outcome would have been a lot different.
They had the majority in the house, and senate, and they abused the power.

Donald Rumsfeld is an American patriot like it or not. He has been in and around the upper echelon of the department of defense since the Nixon era. He was one of GWB's heroes and the president showed him the respect he deserved by not using him as a simple political ploy.
