See my answer to yesterday's question on the same thing, and I'm 27 BTW.
Movie theaters are typically air conditioned, and can get pretty chilly when you are just sitting there. So you want a versatile style that will keep you warm in the theater without making you sweat outside it. And since this is a date, you want to dress it up a bit for a more feminine, flirty look. You want to add some volume where you need it, and take away bulk where you don't to give you a more evened out shape on top. And you want a more sophisticated look for the evenings.

If you opt for a shorter sleeve with a jacket over it, try a knit paired with a fitted jacket to give the illusion of curves. The jacket should have only one or two buttons at the waist, and plenty of shape to emphasis a smaller waistline. Try fabrics like velvet, corduroy, or suede for a more dressy look for your date.

Then your shoes should be cute and dressy, but not too formal. Look for a thinner heel to make your legs and calves look more shapely, but stay away from stilettos, which can actually make some legs look heavier. You can go with a higher heel since you will be sitting, and won't have to worry about being on your feet too much.

You can also go with a great dress boot. They can add some great shape to your legs, emphasising the narrow ankle and a fuller calf. Plus, they would offer added warmth for your legs.

But then, I'm boot-crazy :-)
In the end you should just wear what you like. You sound like you've got pretty good taste, so you should trust your own instincts. You'll probably be happier and more comfortable than trying to follow the opinions of others.

You know what would be really nice.....If your wear your tight black skirt, with black tights, tall black boots, with a bit of a thicker Sole, so they are comfortable but still dressy.....a black turtle neck tight of course, a long one that comes down past your waist, wear a thin silver belt that hangs and drops to one side..... with silver accessories, bracelet, hoop earrings, and silver rings!!!!
Very nice look....dressy however not over the top...
Hope you like...
P.S. if you want to dress this look up more wear high heal boots, with a thin heal....
Enjoy!!

Wear it with a black leather bustier or corset and a leopard skin shrug. Black leather boots would be good also. If you want to go more frilly, wear a lacy white cami, a hot pink cashmere jacket, and black or pink stilettos.

with the aid of fact the gown length is mid calf, i could easily lose the leggings (i think of that type has fairly lots run its direction in any case. i could placed on black pumps purely considering you have already got a protracted gown (dont prefer to over capability the pink). in case you have leopard or maybe zebra print pumps, those could be even greater desirable. in case you ought to placed on leg coverings, placed on fishnets. have relaxing!!
