I just had my first wedding anniversary too. I took a picture from our wedding day and put it on a peice of beautiful paper and under it wrote all the reasons why I loved being married to my husband. He loved it and it was really special. Plus it will be something great to put in the back of your wedding album if you want. I am sure your wife would love it. If you two are just doing paper gifts to save money that is completely understandable for newly weds but it would be nice to give her flowers. Also you could give her a coupon book and you make them yourslef. Such as 'good for one oil massage by yours truely' or 'good for one free car wash by the man who adores you' stuff like that is really sweet and she would treasure them. Happy Anniversary!

Okay if it is your anniversary I wouldn't stick by that rule, you should get your wife something nice like a jewelry, perfume, day at the spa.... I think that the paper gift would more apply to other family or close friends not your own anniversary. I know if on my anniversary if my husband would have got me a paper present I wouldn't have been happy...well unless it was some cash to go shopping

On a piece of paper (whatever size you like) you could put dates of important milestones in your relationship, starting way back when you first met. Don't just write a list, do little doodles representing what you're writing, if you're creative it'll look really lovely & you can then frame it.

Just hope you can remember all the dates.

Just a thought!

Tickets to a mutually enjoyable event or show. I did this ten years ago. My husband loved Pink Floyd so I bought tix for the laser show at the observatorium. It was a perfect gift for him/us. No good concerts were playing so I was creative with that choice and struck big points. There happened to be some Hollywood celebs at the show that nite so he liked that to be able to share with his folks back home.

A card will suffice for the paper part but you better come up with something to go along with it.....*voice of reason*

I have the perfect gift! I would LOVE a gift certificate for a day at a Spa or Salon. Give her enough money to get her hair and nails done or a masage. She'll love it (and love you for it)!!!

Just an idea and this is what I gave. I wrote and printed a bunch of poems and had them put together in a book for my hubby.
