Marcus is ill. It is frankly a disgrace the England selectors failed to respond to the medical advice that confirmed the seriousness of Tress' illness. It goes back to the dark days when mental illness was dealt with by a stern talking too and a cold shower. Tres should never ever have been in the England Tori party and it has helped his eventual recovery not one tuppenny **** that he went to Oz. I'm sure that we all wish him well - coupled with the toast that David Graveney and his mob will rot in Hell.

marcus is suffering from stress related illness.i other words he is tired of the game and as everyone knows cricket requires huge amounts of concentration and one needs to be mentally fresh and strong.but trescothik has been having these problems for a couple of years now.add to that there was a breakup with his wife.so it is wise of him to pull out of a hugely important ashes tour if he feels he cant deliver the goods.he needs time off.it would be better for him to take a break and try to make a comeback at the 2007 worldcup.
