I can recommend a company for CD production. We use them for our band. They give great advice and their prices are excellent - their address is www.acecopydisc.co.uk - can't remember their number but you'll get it off that. They design album covers too.

Hi>
1st off, best of luck.
I belong to an amateur band, and we have tried to get representatives of record companies etc. along to our occasional gigs. Fill them with freeby booze & stuff.
We are still an amateur band.
Perhaps we are not good enough, but I suspect it is more to do with the vast amount of competition out there.
The principle is worth a try, though.
Seems that by a similar method, the "big" bands got there.
Good luck,
Bob

Good luck to you. My son has been trying for a couple of years to make it, too. He has a site on myspace, too. He writes his own songs and right now is in the Los Angeles area. I would bet putting this on yahoo might get the right person to look at your band. I will look at your web site for fun. Good luck.

Have you sent out promotional packages to all of the radio stations in your area? (Make sure all of their songs are copyrighted prior to releasing any material). If they are playing clubs, etc.. make sure you promote the hell out of them; get their name EVERYWHERE. Sending promos to record labels can't hurt either, however, you may have to resend a few times being that labels get numerous bands looking to get signed. Best of luck!
