There are four aces in a pack of 52 (including the aces, excluding the jokers and additional cards)
that means the probability is 4/52, or cancelled down to 1/13
there are 13 diamonds in a pack of 52 so the probability of selecting a diamond is 13/52 or cancelled to 1/4

For an Ace, the odds are 4 to 52.
For a diamond, 13 to 52.
