When we look for a rose flower we desperately hunt for rose only.. everywhere. In auditions they look for "Acting". I mean how naturally and quickly you can submerge into the mood of the "Character" and how innovative you are. Eg if you are hungary and you go to mother and say "i am hungary" u can say that in more than 10 different ways.. few of them will have something innovative in it. That clicks and you get good scores.

It's a good question...but it's impossible to answer, except to say that every school has it's own criteria and sets of standards. Some favor incoming students who are "raw" talents; actors that they can mold in their own image. Others prefer students with a little more maturity and "real world" experience.

Essentially, you'll maximize your chances at these types of auditions by demonstrating that you have some mastery of the actor's fundamental task, which is: to have an EFFECT on the other characters with whom you share the stage. So, when you choose audition material, be sure to pick monologues that show your character attempting to have a strong, immediate IMPACT on the character(s) you're addressing. Avoid soliloquies, avoid monolgoues that require you to speak directly to the audience, and avoid "story" monologues (monologues in which "A" speaks to "B" about "C")...these sorts of pieces don't show you off to your best advantage.

Last bit of advice: in any quality audition of this type, you'll be asked to do some thing (or things) that you didn't know were coming. It's important for your prospective instructors to see how you think on your feet, and to know that you can take their input, and make good, solid acting CHOICES out of it. Be prepared for anything. Be the actor who can answer "YES" to any question that begins: "Can you...?"

Good luck.
