What do I think? I think you're a misguided twit. I think you don't really want an answer, but you're just here to spread your agenda. I think you've done hardly any research, and yet you speak with a conviction that is totally unsuited for a person of your vast idiocy. I hate to be so harsh with 12-year-olds, or at least people who have the brains of 12-year-olds, but you need to wake up. I think you need to go out and read a book - and not "Mien Kampf." I'll give you some suggestions, but I realize you will most likely disregard them, and go on living in your complacent state of ignorance. And arrogance. But oh well. Here they are:

"The New Evidence that Demands a Verdict" - Josh McDowell

"Witness" - Whittaker Chambers

"Mere Christianity" - C. S. Lewis

"Holy Bible" - God

If you do decide to go ahead and check these out, and the words are too big for you, you can always color on the pages. But not on the Bible. That would be blasphemous.

God bless, you closed-minded schmuck!

“Cast your bread into the waters for you will find it after many days” Ecclesiastes 11:1) a passage form the book of bible. Scholars acknowledge the bible as a book of wisdom. If we would take it literally we would think that bible suggesting a crazy idea. The metaphysical meaning of some part of this passage are “Feeding your decrees into your subconscious mind” but what’s the similarity of Freudian psychology into the bible passage?

Metaphysicians like Andersen tell us that our subconscious mind exerts greater influence on us than our conscious mind; and nothing gets into subconscious mind without first passing through the conscious mind... "Wisdom"

well.. all things that happened to me.. my life story is the proof that no human intelligence can beat the power of My God...

I believe.. and im sure about that... i just thought that you only asked about the bible.. and i dont wanna explain further.. bu as far as i know.. i conducted a lot studies but i only found happiness when i realized the purpose of my existence.. perhaps the best question should be.. "What's the purpose of my life?"

God Bless!

The Bible is actually is a guideline on how to live one's life.
It applies to all aspects of life today, just as it did when it was written. It's apparant that you've dismissed it without actually studying it.
I don't see how putting your faith in a work of fiction is a better solution for living your life. As for communism, how'd that work out for the Soviet Union? Or the opressed masses in China?
>
I will concede your point that organized religion can be damaging, in some cases.

Yes, honey, the previous answer is entirely correct. It's like thinking Scarlett O'Hara was a real person.
Communism is so discredited that it would be difficult to find anyone of substance who would actually take it seriously.
Unfortunately, organized religion can be a load of crap sometimes but begin your own journey of nourishing your spirit. Good luck!

wow!!!! okay lets start here, you must believe in God because only some one who seriously needs him could possibly talk this way, what i am saying is this, satan is trying to misguide you,.....and its working, whether the Bible is Now in our time completely factual? i dont know, BUT....you can trust that there is something bigger than all of us, we didnt just happen,...and all of the people who wrote the real versions of the bible couldnt have just made all of that up, my guess is this, i dont think that any one religion is right or wrong, i think its all distorted but God gives us the truth in our hearts, he gives us a conscience, and it is up to us and the people who raise us to nuture that and develope it to the very purest state, so we dont just run wild and do what ever "feels good". I ve doubted too, no one is perfect, but i asked God to reveal him self to me, i told him that i have a hard time believing in something i cannot see, trusting something i cannot see to protect me ? you must be joking i was raised in the state, i was molested and raped and just extremely abused as a child, and this God wants me to just submit my life to him and trust him, and i cant see him? Yeah it is a crazy thing to ask of some one, but when i did it, he did reveal himself to me, no he didnt come down and talk to me face to face, but he opened my heart and the ears and mind of my heart now know his voice, and i pray that youwill do the same, find out for yourself, dont just take the bibles word for it or mine or anyone elses, also keep in mind his time is not the same as our time so if he doesnt come down and smack you accross the back of the head for saying the things you have, well give'em a minute,.... he will is some form or fashion, you someday will feel really stupid for saying this!!!

I hesitate to inform you of this, but, DaVinci Code is, um, a work of fiction. If you don't believe me, just go to the library and see if you find it in the fiction of the non-fiction section.

You seem angry at religion. I have no statement to make about that, though -- your feelings are between you and God.

The DaVinci code is nothing more than fiction. Pure and simple. Tons of books have been printed to counter the claims that are presented in the DaVinci Code. First thing I can think of off my head...The Teabing character in the book states that there were dozens and dozens of gospels(narratives on the life of Jesus) written, including those of Thomas and Mary Magadalene and they were supressed by the Church. In reality there were only a handful of gospels written and most of them were tossed out because their content was too wild (such as containing giants whose heads reached heaven, and talking crosses) or because they didn't cohere with writings of the old testament and the apostle's accounts. The main new testament books that most Christian churches use today (the 4 gospels, and the letters or epistles) were actually compiled long before Constantinople became a Christian. By the way the means of which Constantinople became a Christian portrayed in "DaVinci" are way wrong too. Historians and letters of early Christian writers dating back to 107 AD show us that the New Testament books we use today were already being accepted as scripture in those times and were being read in church services. Some non canonical books(or letters) such as that of the Gospel of Thomas, were read, but weren't regarded as scripture. Most of these other gospels that have been found have actually been found in a concentrated area near Alexandria I believe, in actually ancient burial muounds and trash heeps. Why would these left out books appear in trash heeps? There was no Christian authority to censor them in second and third century. Most people probably recognised these works as elaborate fictions written well after the historical events of the crucifiction. I think there is just one main problem with religion (western ones anyway) and that is submitting to authority, be it God or a pope. You find this theme even in the scriptures where people refuse to let go of their pride and serve rather than be served. That is the big struggle and that is why so many want to do away with organized religion. But religion isn't about power. Religions are claiming to have truthful answers to the meaning of life. And to do away with religion as you say means to disregard what religion has to offer in regards to the questions of life. What if one of these religions is in fact correct and we throw it out? Then we will have lost the truth without even knowing it. I think in Brown's book the girl is supposed to have the same miracle powers as Jesus? What is the explanation for her and Jesus' miraculous powers then if the book's tales are supposed to be historical truth? Did God pick an ordinary man to do miracles ? If so why pick an ordinary man who would try and make false claims about God and would eventually disappear and raise a family? Miracles have been used in the Bible to show that God is real and to affirm his commands and desires for us to believe in Him, not to be used simply to entertain or dazzle us. So another question: Jesus was crucified-even secular historians like Josephus offer writings about it. Now Christians claim he was resurrected. But Brown just says that I think he survived and snuck off with Mary M. How could a weak man withstand the crucifiction? The events of the crucifiction portrayed in the gospels were consistent with the histrorical Roman practice of crucifiction. Jesus definately would have been caught by someone if he rode off with Mary- he would have needed a doctor to heal him, and he probably would have died not long after being rescued. The gospels claim Jesus appeared to many looking glorified and radiant, but still having the pierced holes in his hands so people could see it was him. What is Brown's eplanation for that? I encourage you and others to read up on your history and theology. Christendom has nearly 2000 years of history. Don't you think that by now ifit were all made up someone studying would have brought ample reasons to debunk? What about the hundreds and thousands of Christian scholars over the centuries? Are you not willing to listen to their side of the story? Look into this more. ..."So dark the con of Dan."
