Tell him exactly what you just said. Ask the Sophomore coach if maybe you can join in on one of the practices so he can see what you've got. If everyone really thinks your that good...and they aren't just being nice, you deserve a chance with a non biased person.

Have your parent/s talk to the principle, guidance counselor, or the coach..especially if you are really really sure your that good..explain the friction between you and the coach that made the selection and what caused that friction..I had that happen to me.that's what I did and I WAS that good..I got on the team and I showed what I could do and became the MVP in tournament..The coach had egg on his face..You got to keep up your end of the bargin in ALL RESPECTS, IE school work, participation, don't be a wisemouth, be kind courteous, considerate. practice. You'll prevail!..... the selecting coach probably needs an attitude check. There is more going on here than what you may realize. Sports helps build a person for the future in alot of respects..The last thing any school needs is educators with attitudes..Good Luck to you..I'll keep my fingers crossed for ya..I love the hoop game and have all my life..and I know first hand how important it is to you..Keep a stiff upper lip no matter what happens..as Larry Bird would say "Keep Tryin Kiiiiiiiiid You'll Get It"

From your post, it seems to me like your problem is attitude. If you were as good as you say you are, you would have made the team.
You blame this on your coach hating you and you seem pretty arrogant. Coaches don't want players like that, regardless of skill. Nobody's getting paid to play, so attitude means more than skills to a coach.

Don't say a word to him. Going up to him and acting like he cheated you is only going to make you look more arrogant.

Don't ask him why, you been so good ( according to you ) he didn't pick you for the team. Ask him what do you have to do to improve to belong on the team. Because you may be really good handling the ball, but maybe lack other skills. For example, been a team player.

maybe your grades weren't good enough or maybe you're not as good as you think you are but you should find out exactly what the reason was that you didn't make the team
