To work in Saudi you needed a sponsor and a visa. You made good money and knew that eventually you had to leave the country.
You could not claim sickness or unemployment benefit as a foreigner...so guess what... everyone kept on working... making money to support their family.. not relying on state benefits.. The Saudi's were so honest that even though they originally had a statutary pension scheme, they (rightly) stopped it because they knew that future payments would be impossible to meet...So they gave it all back to us..every penny...
So, British government, get real, lay down some rules and take a leaf from a country that is not afraid of it's foreign work force.

Saudi Arabia democratic system is different to UK's, we operate a bicameral system which means anything our PM puts through in terms of big legislation has to go through to the House of Lords, just remember back to Fox hunting.... you think they can make big decisions like reforming the work laws or anything so contraversial, it will probably be a long time before anything such as this happens unfortunately.

no , and it isn't going to ensue as Iraq has its personal issues now. Saudi even gave an additional billion for the "reconstruction of iraq" as they say. The Iraqi authorities is attempting to get gulf international locations to drop one hundred's of billions in loans / Kuwait compensations owed after the 80's~ninety's wars. in spite of the actuality that my opinion is that Iran could pay those because it is the single to blame for commencing all that mess any way.

dubai... bahrain... oman... all those countries have the same set up.

also, as well as needing a sponsor to work, any children you have there won't recieve saudi/dubai/omani passports either so you don't get the whole refugees having their children to try and stay in the country epidemic.

Who is more racist, the person who says what those people actually do in their own countries, or the person who doesn't want those people in, knowing what they actually do in their own countries?

(how much do you want to bet the person above me would be the first to scream "racist!" if the executioner were threatened with being extradited from the UK)

I believe so. I didn't know about it. So I believe other countries should follow it in some way.

Yes, and they hang innocent little Philipina girls, aged 17, who killed her attacker as he raped her.

The man, naturally, was a Saudia, and well connected. So,without trail, other than "you are guilty", this little girl was dragged out and hanged.

Someones little Dughter was murdered for defending her honour. Oh yes, Saudia has it right, but only if you are a cold hearted bastard with right with nazi and racist views.
