3 years ago, I knew about 3 Chelsea fans. All of a sudden there are loads of people claiming to be 'life-long' Chelsea fans! So where have they all been hiding???

Hey Cisco, no offence to 'real' Chelsea fans, but it is amazing that since the team has been doing real well, a lot of Chelsea shirts have appeared on people that would never have claimed to be a Chelsea fan say 10 years ago. And I'm not talking about young children, I'm talking about adults to middle-aged individuals.

Have to agree with you there Monty. a lot of blues fans have been coming out of the woodwork since Roman took over. It's easy to hop onto a bandwagon when it's the fashion.
I've supported them since i was 6. I've followed them when they were in the old Div 2 and got teased mercilessly when it was all Liverpool and Man Utd. I've been used to years of nothing won! You were lucky if you got 20,000 at the Bridge back then. Now it's just a fashion to wear the tops.
I went to a friend from work' barbecue - he's suddenly decided to support Chelsea and is wearing the shirt after ( and this is a fact) years of following Blackburn! He says he's fed up of disappointment. I thought that was all part of being a fan?

Band Wagoners!

It's rather annoying! 5/6 Years ago, you could buy tickets at stamford Bridge with ease and now... well, you have to be a member whether you like it or not in order to be in any chance of getting a ticket!

These temporary fans (well they will probably stay Chelsea as we will win the league for the next 20 years and beat Liverpools record - Oh wait a minute - Liverpool have never won the premiership!!! HA HA!!!) take up the real fans seats!!!

I'm going to the West Ham game on Saturday. COME ON YOU BLUES!!!!

I agree, not only they have come out of nowhere theyhave come in numbers. Moreover they are arrogant and gives no respect to the game or the team. They try to prove that they are die hard Chelsea fans and in the process disrespects the main essence of the game and give a bad name for the real ones, as well as England. Guess you have to deal with that. I just hope that the real ones dont just fade away and lose their voice inbetween. It will be a shame....with success comes great responsibility and it is upto the real ones to do that.

Who posted saying that Chelsea fans don't b1tch? That was a good one, you couldnt have been on the old 606 boards then

And Mikkie, us non-Chelsea fans are not jealous. We are not upset or anything, it's just that soo many people have actually supported Chelsea just because of their money. I have one friend who canged from supportoinmg Ipswich (hehe, Ipswich) and now supports Chelsea becasue of Lampard or something. However, I have freind who has supported Chelsea since he was born so.

So yah, were not jealous, we just hate the followers who used to support worse teams, like Ipswich

As a supporter of The blues since 1969/70 season (we won the cup 2-1 in replay beat Leeds David Webb scoring the winner - I can still see it ..... sorry got carried away) I despair of the "new" supporters who have only come to the surface since they started winning. I too have been to stamford bridge on a wet wednesday evening to watch Chelsea get humiliated by the likes of York City. I even paid a subscription to the club in the late 70's to help them when they were in dire straits (anyone else remember that? - collections in the buckets outside the turnstiles to help stop the club going into administration)

Clive Walker, Ian Langley, Ray Wilkins, Steve Wicks - they were all youngsters then playing alongside Peter Bonetti, Charlie Cooke, Alan Hudson, and the much missed Ian Hutchinson, Peter Osgood and Peter Houseman. Obviously if you can remember them and all those before them then you are a True Blue.

BLUE IS THE COLOUR - FOOTBALL IS THE GAME
WE'RE ALL TOGETHER - WINNING IS OUR AIM
CHEER US ON THRU THE SUN AND RAIN
COS CHELSEA, CHELSEA IS OUR NAME .......

As a real life long Chelsea fans, this really winds me up, as this makes looks like a glory hunter.

I remeber the days of Gavin Peacock, Mark Stein, Craig Burley, Erland Johnsen, Dmitri Kharine, Tony Cascerino, Tony Drago, i have being there when we have being humilated by the likes of Stoke City in the league cup on a Wednesday night, i remember the days of Chelsea being managed by Bobby Campbell, Ian Porterfield, and quite rightly i am enjoying the sucess that we are having at the moment.

COME ON CHELSEA COME ON CHELSEA

Dude, it's not the case that they've been hiding. The fact is you just didn't care about the existence of Chelsea fans till now. Furthermore, with Chelsea the way it is now, don't you think it's time the fans spoke up? Maybe a few people are suddenly sucked in by the new found fame but believe me, Chelsea has always had a wide and solid fanbase.

""Don't worry....80% of Chelsea fans will die out, as soon as another team takes over the premiership.""

When I read this, I thought I had to tell this to u.
If Chelsea lost 80% of fan after some losing or not wining premier league so if
Man united and arsenal or Liverpool lost they lost their fans too. So I think people don't know why r we the Chelsea fan? Ha? cos we love our team and we don't give up with a losing .we encourage them to win and if they lost we say:::::

:::COME ON CHELSEA::::
