As little as possible!

The amount of money is not important. It's how well the gift fits the person you're giving it to. I have 7 people to buy for. That's it. My kids, my parents, my in-laws, and my husband. Everybody else gets a card, and FIL and MIL are taking care of the tree, decorations, dinner, all that. I'm hoping to come off as cheap as possible.

If that makes me sound like a Scrooge, I'm sorry!! Merry Christmas!!!

Not much. Probably between $50 to $100. I don't see what's the point of buying expensive things. There are just as unique presents out there that cost less. Sorry, I don't mean to sound like a scrooge.

About $700.00. That's how much my xmas club check was and I won't go over. It's all a bunch of s^%%$ any way. Hate to sound like Scrooge, but that's the way I feel. I have 3 boys and I try to buy them each one nice "quality" gift as opposed to quanitity. They love it. My husband & I don't buy for each other. We figure we go out an buy what we want throughout the year any way.

I have a budget of $50 per kid (3 kids) from Santa, and $50 per kid from us. Now, from that, I got free gift cards online for each of the kids (Wal-Mart, Claire's, & Game Stop) in the amounts of $25 each, which they'll receive from Santa, so that drops what I spend to $25 from Santa. I list specific categories, and how much I'll spend on each one, is how I arrive at a number. For instance, from Santa, each of my children will get a $25 gift card, a $15 toy, a $5 toy, and a $5 stuffed animal. If I find items that are a bit less, then that subtracts from my budget as well. I found really cute beanie babies that I know all 3 kids will love for only $2.50 each on clearance (the real TY ones), so I got those for the stuffed animal part.

I didn't budget for stocking stuffers in either of my budgets, but I limit myself to 5 items from the dollar store, plus a package of fruit snacks, and some candy.

From us, they have budgeted $15 for an outfit each, 1 $10 toy, $5 for a plate set, $5 for a movie, and $10 for a new pillow each with a pillow case.

But, I lowered that because I found cute plate sets on clearance for $2 each and under ($.99 for a bratz 3 peice plate set, $2 for an M&M 2 peice plate set, and $1.60 for a 2 peice duck plate set), so that lowers that category. For outfits, I found each of them a cute shirt on clearance for $3 each. I found my 4 year old a cute jean skirt/legging set on clearance at Target for $3.50, so her outfit was only $6.50. I have to look for pants for the older two yet, but I have $12 left for each of them for a single pair of pants. I have a feeling this category will aso be lower.

For the pillows, Wal-mart has $3 pillows, and I sew, so I made a pillow case already for my youngest daughter. Her $10 budget just got put down to $3. I used fabric left over from making her a Care Bear quilt last year.

In the end, I think cash wise, I'll probably spend between $50 & $75 total on each kid. I know I'll probably end up picking up extra toys here and there.

I did earn $225 worth of gift cards online that I'll use to either give them (for the $25 ones), or to buy the actual gifts, too, so that lowers the amount that's coming out of pocket.

Basically, we'll spoil em rotten, but try doing it as cheaply as possible. ;)

I have gone a little over board this year!!!! I will have spent about $600 on my best friend, mom, dad, sister, boyfriend, and his parents. However I love giving gifts and seeing how much people enjoy things so it is all worth it. I have seen so much more I want to get but have tried to rain myself in now.
