They're both right.

The goal with inequalities is to leave the answer/equivalent to the variable. The variable is often (if not always) represented by a letter. The letter "x" is most popular, as in this case.

In 2x > -10, you want to remove the 2 in the left side to leave the value of x. To do that, you would need to DIVIDE BOTH SIDES by 2.

Thus, 2x > -10 divided by 2 in both sides EQUALS x > -5.

Therefore, x is -5.
