Don't have numbers on mine. I have a idiot gage. I know where it sits under normal conditions and it usually raises just a little until the fans kick in to keep it cool.
If I remember right, under normal conditions it should read about 120 to 140 degrees. Under stand still traffic it could get up to 160 to 180 degrees then the fans should kick on to cool it off.

In Texas we see 250 degrees in hot humid conditions with the A/C running. I personally replace the radator in most of my cars when I see temps like that. I find the best temp is around 185 to 190 degrees, for the fuel system and electronic timing advance and maxium power output.

depends on the engine

Most american cars run a REGULATED 180 to 210 degrees...

If you car is over heating, put down the windows, and turn on the HEATER, yes it will be hot, but that's heat leaving the engine...
