Yes as another mentioned the SS was simply a trim package with certain equipment available similar to the way the Chrysler 300 went from a performance car in the 50'a and early 60's to a style package by 66. By the way, when I met my wife she was driving a 67 Malibu SS with 283 "bench seat" and single exhaust. In the 60's you could order cars all sorts of ways and still get certain models.

Sounds like your in search of GM historic records get all the numbers even the frame number Check on line with the Chevy Club and talk around find GM historic web site. I'm a pontiac guy and know pontiac historic well. I think your car only has SS badges. 1967 was the height of mussle madness and would have thought it would have the 396 and dual exhausts and floor console either 4 speed or the early turbo hydramatic.

Later variety Z/28s got here out with 3.25s to offer them slightly greater proper bounce, yet after 4.11s your going to locate them slightly sluggish. 3.50s are what you will locate in a rather good variety of a million/2 ton 4bys and you probabally won't possibly take care of them the two in case you employ her for street racing in any respect, yet you will would desire to choose what that's which you relatively choose as in ANY kit ratios substitute!

it can be.... in 67 and on "ss" was a style package.... not a performance package. I'ld have to research it further.... but off the top of my head.... "ss"= bucket seats, deluxe interior, rally guages, and sport wheels.
