i think every one, no matter what race or religion, has suffered racism at some point

I know lots of black and white couples that have experience racism. And I know Chinese and white couples that have experienced it as well. When it comes down to it lots of mixed race couples no matter what nationality do suffer. And this is because there are some ignorant people that think that people that are a difference race should be together and that is just complete rubbish. At the end of the day providing that you live/love the person and they make you happy it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks

Interestingly enough, I was at a showing of a short documentary just last night made by a local resident (troy, NY) by the name of Octavio (his last name escapes me). The documentary tells of his personal experience. He was raised by his white biological mother and white adopted father. His biological father is black, a man he hadn't meant till recently, at the age of 36. The fact of his mixed-race status was apparently an undiscussed matter within his family. Octavio grew up in a white suburb where, according to the film, there were no other blacks. With very curly hair and tannish skin, it was clear to most that he must be have been mixed and indeed suffered instances of racism so that clearly the idea that an individual of white/black mixed race does not experience racism is mistaken. Also, I've known of other such instances.
From my own perspective I'd say that an individual of such a background may escape racism, in some ways, if perhaps their features and skin color were fair enough to "pass" as white, nonetheless they may be subject to "reverse-racism" from the black community. Ultimately I think that any non-white individual will experience, if not suffer, racism at some point in their lifetime. In the end racism effects all of us however obliquely and is a subject that should be explored until it is nothing more than an ugly blemish in the history of humanity (doubtful?!).

I am sorry but i do not think that is true. black, and mixed people suffer racism as much as asian and white. You probably don't see it but it happens.

Not really, I would think it's the other way round. Anyway, asian and white is like a prized race in the East where they are practically worshipped.

I know everyone is against what you're saying here but I see where you are going with this. Drawing on my own experiences and from what I've observed I agree with you. The reasons why I don't know.

Perhaps it's the media bringing the Asian "issue" out more and throwing it in our faces.

I don't agree with that. I don't think people really notice asian/white mix.

Maybe you are feeling like you've been discriminated and just aren't seeing the real reason, so you are blaming it on that.
