I was with my wife for ten years before we got married in March. In September we had a bitter breakup.I raised her daughter since she was six months old and love her as if she was my own.My wife has refused to let me see her at all now and I am heartbroken.Everyday that passes by without seeing my little girl,a piece of me dies.Is there anything I can do legally to be able to see"my daughter".Thanks

i would consult a solicitor or contact the Citizens Advice Bureau who are extremely knowledgable and helpful. What an awful situation for you to be in. I am sure there is something you can do, your wife is obviously upsetting your daughter as well by not letting her see you, she's not doing herself any favours in the long run, your daughter will end up hating her.

Just maybe talk to her. It's hard for a father to not see their daughter for the rest of their life anymore. It's like some kind of a movie!! Talk to her and maybe you can set up a schedule time with your daughter. Tell your wife, you really want to see her. This is really sad because she might grow up having no dads. Who will she take to the father-daughter dance at school? Just tell ur ex-wife that you really love your daughter and would like to see more of her. Tell her that you can't stand not seeing your grateful child. Tell her she really means the whole world to you and if you don't see her..Parts of me die and stuff like that. Maybe it'll work if you just talk to her face-to-face. To most relationships, that DO works. Trust me on this one.

Okay well, tell me how it goes and i'll be right here. ...Listening... lolz..

i am in the same sort of situation but it is my girlfriend that has left without telling me and will not let me comunicate with her.

I would just accept the fact that the world is designed to hurt you as much as possible and start taking huge ammounts of codein as i do, if you top up the dose on a real regular basis, you feel no pain and it means that you can shorten your life to an accedptable period.

It really concerns me that you are obviously more attached to the daughter than to the wife, makes me think there may be something sinister to the relationship.

As you have not adopted the child, there is not much you can do.

of course there is but it will cost.
Plead your case with your legal team.
You have rights as a father as you provided these duties for many years.
My cousin had this problem also.
Now 4 years after the fact he lives with him!
goodluck!!

Did you not ever make places to adopt her? Why not?

Unfortunately you have no legal ties to the girl.
