education socializes children into society through interaction with other children and also with adults as "authority" figures. Alot of the things you learn in the playground are lessons you need throughout your life, also it is a type of child care so all of those parents out there can go back to work and feel better than their children are being "educated".
On a positive note, it is also a way to learn about the world and to become a more enlightened person.

The main purpose of public education is to socialize and brainwash the workers to be docile "team" players, while the purpose of private education is to dominate and manage people who received a public school education.
