She may be dyslexic and she may just be immature.
Dyslexic people are visual, multi-dimensional thinkers. They are intuitive and highly creative, and excel at hands-on learning. Because they think in pictures, it is sometimes hard for them to understand letters, numbers, symbols, and written words.
They can learn to read, write and study efficiently when they use methods geared to their unique learning style.

Many years ago when no one understood dylexia, people who were dyslexic were often thought to be dumb, almost retarded. I personally was acquainted with the founder of a company that now has over a billion dollars in sales annually. He was thought to be a dunce when he was young because he couldn't read and no one ever bothered to find out what was wrong. Although he was a genius inventor, all his life he had his secretary read his letters to him!

I had this problem too when I was little and my parents were really scared.I write with my left hand and I also do everything with my left hand and my parents taught that this was the reason I was writing like that.In the end,I started to write normally, with no help.I think your sister has just started to write but when she gets used with it she will start to write normally.

Lots of kids do this. She'll get it right eventually, just keep working with her but don't push to hard.

dyslexia, or she's Japanese ! (I've always wondered if dyslexia is so wrong, because the Japanese are so smart, and they write "backwards" from us.)
