A traditional British Christmas involves maxing the credit cards buying lots of unnecessary presents for people you don't like, buying lots of unhealthy food which is then either undercooked and causes salmonella poisoning or overcooked and elicits unwelcome advice from his mother, the rest of the family then all fall asleep until some poor hostess has done all the washing up, before waking up in a bad mood to drink sufficient alcohol to cause the family equivalent of World War III before someone is arrested and dragged off to the cells. Why would you want to give up your peaceful Buddhist way of life to join in such a debacle?

A traditional Christmas punch... boiled red wine with clove sticks... is good... make sure you duddle alot and do a lot of kissing under the misletoe.... Make sure you find a really sweet gift that lets him know how much you care...

It's not hard. Just give him a gift from your heart. Whatever you think he'll like. Sit back and observe his family and they're traditions without saying, "back in my country we do this or that." They'll love you, don't be worried.

find something he would really like for christmas morning, whether its CD's, DVDs, comp games and surprise him. ask him sly questions so you can suss out what he wants then buy it and he will be surprised on xmas morning! thats what I do. wrap up wee goodie bag for him, fill it with chocolate santa, smelly stuff too etc. happy shopping.....
