All we see are of old horrific males, but i've never heard of a female paedophile. Do they exist? Do you know of any cases?

Yes it happens! It isn't just fathers who sexually-abuse their children or some-one elses!
The label is given to men who watch kids or look at photos not just those that abuse them, so I think the perversion would be easier to hide for a female, we are supposed to 'love' kids after all so who'd suspect a woman watching children at play!

They do exist but they exist more in the "real world" & dont really hang out online. Unlike males that go in chat rooms trolling for victims. So becasue women are more secret you dont hear about it and they're less likely to get caught. So it really happens more than you think. I mean what male/man/guy is going to go to the police & say they were raped or forced to do something with a woman.

I watched a documentary about it once and it was absolutely horiible,
It really does happen more than anybody thinks but for some reason it is not publicised as much.
If you think about it male rape is not really publisesd as much either, which is shocking as Im sure the ordeals are both equally horrible.

I have heard of cases where a woman has been with the man at the time of his offence, but not any where the woman has acted alone. I would imagine that paedophilia is very much against a woman's` nature.

There are cases of female sex offenders but most of them seem to stand by and watch as opposed to taking an active part. Some are quite infamous (e.g. rose west). Women tend to be labelled as sex offenders as opposed to paedophiles although all of the ones i have heard of are guilty of sex with teenage boys as opposed to children. I have never heard of any women being physically involved with young children.

yes there are but the media portray it a little differently i think. they ususally tell the story of the lady who falls in love their sons/daughters friend or a child they teach. where as with men are portryed as far more predatory.

Haven't you heard about all those female teachers who have been busted for having sex with their students? It happens all the time, but our culture has a double standard when dealing with it. They let the women off with a slap on the wrist, but they crucify any man suspected of such things.

well they exist...but the only example I can recall is that of a Seattle teacher and 1 of her students..but you'd have to define paedophilia to me...how young is the victim?
