I live in a seven year old apartment. I am on the top floor. I can normally hear my neighbor below me pounding the bass when they play video games. Anyhow, suprisingly enough, they complained to me today, that my wife (when she walks in her den), makes too much noise, lots of traffic they said by her feet. We are very gentle with the walking, and it's a "DOG" building, which means there are animals roaming on the floors.

What should I do? Or is there anything I can do?

Try to keep it on a friendly note with your neighbors, and maybe slip in how you can hear their video games. Keep it in the tone of "it really sucks that you can hear everything so clearly in the other apartments" if you keep it friendly, and let them know that the noise goes both ways, then they should be adult and either you two can ignore the noises from the other apartments, or come to some kind of agreement.
I live in an apartment complex, and I can hear both of my neighbors at times, and they can hear my family. We just dealt with it by making it a joke, and now everyone just ignores the noise. We all also know that if it gets to be too much that we can just go over and knock on a door and the noise will be dialed back.

Step a million - Make some cookies from scratch. (you will see why later.) Step 2 - pass to the save and purchase some earplugs. Step 3 - pass inclusive of your boyfriend and mutually supply the female downstairs a number of the earplugs, and clarify which you haven't any longer have been given any selection yet to stroll around after 10pm because of the fact you a million) artwork till 11 and a pair of) you haven't any longer mastered the artwork of levitation. Step 4 - If she does not respond nicely to the earplugs tell her which you're actually not petrified of her calling the police and which you have executed each and every thing actual seeking to help her along with her problem. If she won't use the earplugs than you're actually not likely to learn the thank you to fly around the residence or sleep on your automobile after artwork because of the fact you pay hire too. Step 5 - while law enforcement officials manifest you may invite them in and supply them a place to sit down down and the selfmade cookies from step a million, and then your boyfriend and you will tell your edge of the tale. then you definately can upload slightly remark alongside the traces of "We only choose her to stop threatening and harassing us." that's considerable that your boyfriend and you the two pass mutually to talk to the female because of the fact you will the two have the potential to refute something the female says against you to the police.

Jump up & down....stomp feet really hard then they will stop complaining about walking. Or you could call the police each time they turn up the base. PD will talk to them about noise & possibly issue ticket. If they complain to the officer about the little noise you make walking he will read them the riot act & tell them to get a life. This should shut them up. Good luck

well maybe u guys can crawl.

just kidding. i don't think there is anything u can do. i live on the third floor but i used to live on the second floor of the triple decker i live in. when i lived on the 2nd floor i used to hear my cousins girlfriend walking everywhere with her high heels on. that drove me crazy. so now that i live on the third floor i know my sister who lives downstairs can hear everything that goes on so i don't walk around with loud shoes. we use our slippers.

that is pretty much all u guys can do is wear slippers. those people are just going to have to deal with it.
