I think i'd have to disagree with you there, I think the ultimate manager would have to be either Marcello Lippi or Jose Mourinho I mean what kind of manager pisses on the corner flags of their home stadium? Ferguson must've gone bonkers or something!

Of course Alex Ferguson is the greatest manager in club football history. @MJ,any evidence to support that dumb theory of yours?I mean proper evidence. You've seen English clubs dominate for the past 6 years as evidence. You also witnessed an English team win the Champions League in 1999 as evidence. If rich foreign owners count as evidence, then Platini being bitter with English clubs must prove a certainty for you.Well, let's see if Insolent Option is right about you.

NO. He is a brilliany manager but not the best ever.
Bob Paisley is the best. He won 3 European Cups in only 9 years in charge.
He is also one of only three managers to win the UEFA cup one year and then the European Cup the next.
Here is all the things he won in that time.
Honours: 6 LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIPS 1975-76, 1976-77, 1978-79, 1979-80, 1981-82, 1982-83
3 EUROPEAN CUPS 1976-77, 1977-78, 1980-81
3 LEAGUE CUPS 1980-81, 1981-82, 1982-83
1 UEFA CUP 1975-76
1 EUROPEAN SUPER CUP 1976-77
5 CHARITY SHIELDS 1974, 1976, 1977 (shared), 1980, 1982
6 MANAGER OF THE YEAR AWARDS 1975-76, 1976-77, 1978-79, 1979-80, 1981-82, 1982-83

He is definitely a great manager but there have been others. Brian Clough, Bill Shankley and Bob Paisley. Bill Nicholson was also an excellent manager.
