Well, let's see....
Democratic Presidents shrink the military. They reduce the number of active troups and shut down bases, thus destrying civilian jobs on these bases. But they "care" about the little people. Yeah right!
Republicans support our military and have historicly had more supporters in the military than liberals. 99.99% of all active military personnel vote Republican. I would say that they have told us who takes care of them better with their votes.

Only if you consider low pay during wartime, inadequate equipment, extended tours of duty, serving them spoiled food and contaminated water while they are there, improper healthcare, a "backdoor" draft that recalls troops long retired back into service, reduced retirement funding, reduced funding towards death benefits, while seeking to redefine what actually constitutes a "veteran" in order to further cut costs, and Republicans voting AGAINST the troops better interest in every instance, then Yeah! the Republicans love the military.
Besides I can count two active Republicans in Congress or the White House with any real Military experience. No way to run a war.

Under Democrat regimes the whole military establishment is routinely underfunded and lead by socialist globalist secular progressives who are bascially pacifistic in their viewpoints. Clinton not only cut our military numbers by 50% while president, but sent them all over the world on UN missions as a sort of world police force. At least he pulled them out the first time anyone got hurt. This approach however greatly weakened our strength and made our enemies contemptuous and bold, seeing us as a timid and weak enemy. John Murtha is not the man I want running the congressional committe that controls military spending. I have a son in Iraq and I am very concerned for him now that the defeatocrats are in charge.

Republicans tend to favor a strong, national defense. In the Reagan years, he reduced WIC, welfare, and used it all that money to fund a bigger defense. Liberal Dems tend to fund more social programs and leave a measly defense. That is dangerous. I support Reagan for doing this and I favor a national defense that has to be strong. Now, liberals think like this not moderates democrats who do want a strong defense. So, in retrospective, I think that traditionally Republicans do take better care of the military.

I don't know if they "take care" of the military better... but I do know that when I was in the Navy, Reagan was president and most of us loved him.
My brother has been in the Marines for 10 years now, and he says that not many of the guys were all that crazy about Clinton. Bush is much more respected.

This has got to be a trick question or a very SAD joke. They sent some of those kids over there without adequate bulletproof vests or/hats. They are having problems getting paid and their families back home are having problems paying their bills and keeping their homes. Their health insurance is not paying the costs of some of their injuries....or paying for some procedures for their families that are necessary... AND THAT'S JUST THE TIP OF THE ICE BURG ..........These people are risking their lifes every minut of every day for our freedom that we take for granted. THEY OUGHT TO BE TREATED LIKE ROYALTY and given anything they need.

About all the Republicans I cannot say , but for Bush , I would say yes. He keep them busy all the time during his tenusre. He send them to Afghanistan and then to Iraq. Now is he trying to tailor a mission for them in Iran. So Bush do care for the military. He want to keep them busy.
