My company has been in business since 2001. We are now starting a sister webhosting company. Email me if you would like a free trial for two months and then packages start at $5.91 a month!
Limited time only. Until we have our site fully completed by the end of the month...

I use http://www.godaddy.com They have specials all the time. Hosting is I think under $4.00 a month and a domain is cheap too. I just checked, hosting right now is $3.59 a month for 12 months. E-Mail customer service is so/so but I hear phone service is good. As for me I'm happy with them but I also know a little about running a website and the problems that can happen and most times it's a problem I can fix. Just my 2¢

I've been with ReliableSite.Net for a while now. They have pretty cheap hosting (under $5 I believe) and I'm VERY VERY happy with them. The support people over there are really nice too!

Get your domain name from www.ukreg.co.uk (£2.95pa + vat for a .co.uk site). Then host your site on the free space provided by your broadband ISP. You then point your domain (sy, www.mywebsite.co.uk) at your ISP's free site (say http://homepage.ntlworld.com/mywebsite).
It's very easy - even I can do it. If you don't know how, I am sure there is someone who can help you.
Good luck.
