There is a book, the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual for Mental Disorders, that you might want to consult. There are people who either hate their gender and that part of them that makes them male or female or strongly believe, feel, or are in some legitimate way convinced that they actually should have been the other gender. The common process involves several visits with a psychologist over several months to assess whether the person is truthful or aware of what they are asking for. Then for between 1 and 2 years the person undergoes scrutiny in the role of the other sex. They will see an endocrinologist who will monitor how they tolerate and adapt to the hormones which facilitate the body's change over this time. IF things work out, they are permitted to complete the change surgically. Some opt out of the final steps, being by then comfortable in their approximate role, but for others that simply is not enough.

Please do not think this is something as casual as crossdressing on a whim. You are right it is a serious change, but many go through serious efforts to accomplish it because they seriously believe it is true and get the kind of on-going help that confirms or dissuades those who do or do not fit the gender dysphoric role.

I am not sure if you're asking how you can change your gender or how you can change your sexuality

For your gender to be changed you would first need counseling and psychological testing.A lot of it for a while before you could even be considered a candidate for that operation.

As for changing your sexuality, I don't believe that once a person develops a sexuality it can be changed. You can force yourself to do acts that you are not into but that doesn't make you turn into a new sexuality. That just makes you unhappy.

I'm gay and I have no idea of how a person can change themselves to the opposite gender...But I side with them and believe them when they tell me that it's something they have to do. People don't go throught that much pain just to physically change sexes unless it's too painful not too. I'm gay and I also have no choice over that. That's the way life is.

I think you're confusing homosexual with transsexual. someone who is homosexual is attracted to the same gender. someone who is transsexual is someone who was born one gender, but feels that they are truly the opposite. and some of them have sexual reassignment surgery.
FYI...the term "lesbo" is considered to be offensive.
