I had a C-section almost 6 months ago also and it is still sore where the incesion was made. This is normal and really it can take a long time before that feeling goes away. Remember they cut through muscle and its going to be tender to touch.
I got my period about 8 weeks afterwards and my first period was heavy but now I am back to normal. If you are nursing, it can be a while before you start your period. A lot of women won't get their period until after they stop nursing.

When I had my c-section, I bleed for a little over a month, heavy bleeding, and then my period went back to normal. It may be different with you because I've heard that you don't get regular periods when breastfeeding. It's been eight months and my scar still itches but it doesn't really hurt. You may want to schedule an appointment with your obgyn to make sure that it healed properly and there's not an excess of scar tissue in your uteris. It generally takes about 8 weeks to recover fully from the operation.

i had a c section almost four months ago. it healed beautifully for the most part, but sometimes when im stretching, or trying to squeeze into my size three jeans i get a bit of a sharp pain. it used to happen a lot, but it has really pretty much stopped except for every once in a while. if yuo are really concerned, just ask your doc so he can put yuo at ease. being a mother is stressfull enough, so getting the right answers to help rid your stress of an issue or two is always helpful.
also, i still have a little bit of numbess around the incision area do to nerves being cut etc which i have also been told is perfectly normal :)

I've had two c-sections and not experienced the long term pain like you. You should talk to your doctor.
If your breastfeeding exclusively, it could be months before your period returns. For most women there is a time of infertility while nursing. Be aware, though, that you will ovulate *before* you start your period, so you can still get pregnant. I went 9 months with 1st child, 6 months with second and 1 yr with 3rd before my period returned.

No. This is not normal. By 2 to 3 months your stitches should have healed with absolutely no pain.
Well you will not get your periods till you stop nursing. My advice is to keep nursing as much as you can as you will lose a lot of weight. Its nature's way of helping us get back into shape after pregnancy.

I've had two c-sections. With one, it went very badly and so isn't a good example. But my second one went beautifully. It healed within six weeks. I didn't have any heavy bleeding with my periods. It did take me about three months to get my regular periods back. If it has been six months and there are still problems, I would suggest you go back to your OB/GYN and have them check it out. It doesn't sound like it is okay. Good luck.

some great suggestion right here and that i fantastically advise you maintain on with it. I had an emergency c-area on Aug 2d. Then next morning that they had me off the mattress at 7am strolling the hallway. actually do arise and walk approximately each couple of hours, it hurts like hell even with the indisputable fact that it helps save your bowels shifting and gets you used to the soreness of having up and down from the mattress. do no longer OVER DO IT - carry no longer something however the toddler, do no longer pass grocery procuring, do no longer do laundry, do no longer do dishes, do no longer do something yet feed and alter your toddler, enable Daddy do the baths as nicely for the 1st few weeks. I over did each little thing, popped staples in the previous even leaving the scientific institution and grew to become into held including steri strip and then have been given a lecture from the wellbeing practitioner who took out the staples 8 days later by way of fact i grew to become into healing from the interior out particularly of actual down and that's by way of fact i grew to become into too lively, saved reopening the incision. i'm at 7 a million/2 weeks and my incision has in simple terms thoroughly sealed without extra discharge, it even with the indisputable fact that nonetheless hurts fairly if I pass the incorrect way or carry something too heavy or am too lively. Sensation smart although i've got not got the huge numb area maximum people communicate approximately and little or no pouch to do away with fortuitously however the floor is all wrinkly by way of shrinkage and feels humorous. Sleep on the settee, it particularly is much less complicated to get out and in of. in the event that they furnish you a soreness killer in suppository (up the butt) sort - TAKE IT, that stuff worked miracles! Congrats although on the hot equipment of excitement, everybody heals in yet in a distinctive way and that i essentially wish you heal at as quickly as and nicely!
