I think this is quite vague but I'll try to give some information.

A chair confirmation is a confirmation that a six membered ring system can make. Imagine a flat hexagon move one point up out of the plane and the point directly opposite down out of the plane. This conformation is generally the most stable conformation a ring can make.

Another common conformation would be the boat conformation where both points are bent in the same direction.

In a simple case like cyclohexane the ring can bend quite easily and will flip quite easily between both conformations.
