The terms you use in your statement seem to sum up your personal views and thoughts more than ask a question? Who has told prisoners they can get their "gear" in prison? If you are referring to support including medication to get off drugs whilst in prison then yes this would and I think should be available to them. It should also be available to individuals on the "outside" if they choose to access it. Unfortunately that's where the problem lies that there are not enough supports or resources for individuals trying to get off drugs in the community and I think its pretty sad that individuals sometimes end up offending and in prison due to this. It creates so many victims, directly and indirectly. Surely if an individual wants to get off drugs and change their behaviour and lifestyle which in the long run has got to be better for all of society then it doesn't matter where they do this!! Perhaps you need to re-frame your question?

What a ridiculous thing to say?
Equality is when people who have been the victims of crime by junkies get their right to beat them to a pulp.
Any money won under this ridiculous ruling should be given straight to charities who help people after being a victim of crime by a junkie!
So no, you wont be getting a heroin giro yet lad, just your regular one!
Get a life

If the government is to supply drugs to junkies and cons for free they should be given a choice of two phials. One containing the drug of choice the other poison and let them pick one.

I cannot imagine that prisoners can get their (illegal) "gear" whilst in prison. They will more than likely be entitled to proper treatment.
Do you honestly think that ther government will supply drugs to cons? To do so would be illegal in itself!
Your question is a bit daft mate....... maybe re-phrase it a tad?
