I'm an Aussie and I don't eat pancakes for dinner. I have never heard of any Aussies eating pancakes for dinner either. Only breakfast. I once had a German friend who ate them for dinner though.

I'm an American and I eat them whenever I want.
Breakfast, lunch, dinner, whenever.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are times of the day, not what food should be consumed. I've had hamburgers at 3 AM and eggs, hash browns and toast at 6 PM.
