1. There are women in the western world who do 'hard jobs' within the parameters of your description.
2. However I tend to argue that the 'hardest jobs' are actually those done within the home. For example raising a child with high morals is a 'hard job', keeping the family unit together is a 'hard job', cleaning the house on a day-to-day basis is a 'hard job'...... and etc..
I think the main difference here is our different definitions of "hard-work". Hard work to me is not only physical work..

Perhaps western women are soft...but then again, maybe we just want everyone else to think that. We have a saying, "If Mama's not happy, there ain't nobody happy." True, you won't find very many western women doing hard physical labor (although there are a few and they're quite good at it) but we do have a way of influencing others around us.

What are you talking about? western women have choices. Some choose to do construction, clean streets, roadwork , cops, firemen. Maybe you're confused because we have more choices than thai women.

Generally western women don't do these jobs (I do) due to the paranoia of the men. We get a really hard time from some (repeat some) of them.

Interesting. Women certainly do have good physical strength and endurance, when it's built up. But Western culture likes to stick with the whole "caveman" thing- women are fragile and must be kept away from physical harm, so that their bodies are healthy and can bear children.

western women have a choice and they choose not to do these jobs.
There is no job nowadays that a man can do that a woman cant as there is machinery and equipment for heavy lifting.
