It takes a special sort of intelligence to attract me to be honest...
Emotional Intelligence is a wonderful thing that gravel-tates me
Plus, being clever enough to get away with being absolutely retarded is a thing that I love too...me and my buds are very good at this!!

Yes I do. Why waste my time gravitating with people who will let me float in a total state of ignorance when I can gravitate with those who will keep my feet on the ground and yet open my horizons. Of course it would have to be someone with whom I see eye to eye and there is no conflict in our personalities.
On the other hand, you ask if we gravitate towards people with whom WE PERCEIVE to be intelligent. In such a case the definition of intelligence is different for everybody depending on how they perceive it.
Then in deciding what type of people interest us and depending on our needs we would have to take into consideration the different types of intelligence those of verbal, spatial and emotional among others.
So in the end you see perception here makes all the difference since what one may perceive as intelligent another may see as not very bright indeed.

Yeah sure, but more so I gravitate towards people I perceive to be creative. The two can go hand in hand of course, but I'm more of the creative type myself :)

No, if you hang out with the dumb ones then nobody expects much from you. When you let even a teeny tiny bit of your real intelligence show, everybody thinks you are a genius.

I like to have intelligent conversations but sometimes the "know it alls" aren't very intelligent because they have all the book smarts but lack common sense.

Intelligence is only one of many factors I include in my assessment of whether it is worth my effort to spend time with someone. It is not even one of the essential factors, though it is one of the preferred ones.

Personally I find it the other way round ;)
No seriously, I think everyone looks up to someone who has more knowledge.
I like learning new things so naturally I like to be around people who can offer something that I don't know yourself.

Not necessarily. It depends on how personable they are. I would not find myselt gravitating toward an intellligent jerk.
