im working on a school project about highschool stereotypes

i've heard about goths,preps,nerds,jocks,etc.....but before i write about each of them i must make an introduction
plz help me making an introduction

We like to pigeonhole people and, too often, this stereotyping leads to prejudicial thinking. The fellow who slinks into class dressed all in black must be a goth; the one who is just a little too dressed up is surely a prep; that person who digs the books and spends all his time on a computer is a terrible nerd, and the confident athlete is a real jock.

People think of goths as wearers of black and users of white makeup. Terms that have been applied to them include depressed, suicidal, Satanists, vampires.

A prep is one who appears clean-cut and strives to appear better off financially than others in a middle class environment.

There is a strong correlation between being smart and being a nerd, and an even stronger inverse correlation between being a nerd and being popular.

A jock is an athlete, often thought of as the "big man on campus." Sometimes he is thought of as having more brawn than brains.
